W'menswear Denim
Founded in 2015 by Lauren Yates, W’menswear began in Bangkok, where Yates developed the first collection with denim tailor Ben Viapiana in a converted shipping container. Yates manages the brand’s production herself, working with specialist makers such as Simmons Bilt in Scotland for sheepskin and a small Japanese mill for its Garden Smock. The label’s workwear draws on vintage and military designs, in materials such as canvas, waxed cotton, Bedford cord, and handloom textiles. It is known by the line “hard-hitting garments for hard-hitting women.”
