About 3sixteen

Founded in 2003 and owned by Andrew Chen and Johan Lam, 3sixteen started out making graphic tees, hoodies, and embroidered hats before moving into denim. Its modern history began in 2008 with its first pair of jeans, the SL-100x. Much of the brand’s denim is custom-made with Kuroki Mills in Okayama, Japan, on vintage Toyoda shuttle looms, and its leather patches come from Tanner Goods in Portland, Oregon. 3sixteen runs flagship stores in Los Angeles and New York and treats each jean it adds as a permanent part of its lineup.
