About Hiut

Founded in 2011 by David and Clare Hieatt, Hiut Denim Co. makes jeans in its own factory in Cardigan, Wales, a town whose denim factory once made 35,000 pairs a week. When production left the town in 2002, the skill remained, and Hiut started to put that knowledge back to work. Every pair is cut and sewn by hand, with senior craftspeople known as Grand Masters training the next generation. The brand works by the motto “do one thing well.”
