About Omoto Denim

Founded in 2025 in Kojima, Okayama, Omoto Denim is the label of Hiroki Kishimoto, a fabric developer who began his career in 1992 at the Collect Mill in Kojima and later founded Japan Blue. The brand works with Japanese specialists in spinning, dyeing, and weaving, using pure indigo, traditional rope dyeing, and vintage shuttle looms for its 13 to 16oz selvedge denim. Its name comes from the evergreen omoto plant, and its fabrics are designed to age gracefully with wear.
