About Post Overalls
Founded in Manhattan in 1992 by designer Takeshi Ohfuchi, Post Overalls made its official debut at the MAGIC show in January 1993. Ohfuchi moved to New York in 1987 and studied production management at the Fashion Institute of Technology. The brand builds on American workwear from the 1920s and 1930s, researching vintage sewing techniques, patterns, threads, and machines and dissecting deadstock garments. Its aim is to present pre-war American workwear in a way that suits the present day.
