About The Strike Gold

The Strike Gold is based in Kojima, Okayama, and is led by Tohru Hamamoto, whose parents ran a sewing and finishing factory there. The brand grew out of a retail shop into a maker of jeans focused on how denim ages. Its cotton is chosen and blended each year, its yarn is rope dyed with the number of dips set by the fading it is after, and its fabric is woven on adjusted vintage shuttle looms. It is known for raw, unsanforized selvedge denim with slubby texture, plus loopwheel sweatshirts and T-shirts.
